Nevada Volunteerism Research Initiative
Request for Participating Organizations
Dear Volunteer Coordinators:
Thank you for completing the survey regarding volunteers in your organization. The selected results can be found here.
UNLV researchers are now collaborating the United Way of Southern Nevada and Nevada Volunteers - The Governor's Commission on Service to learn more about the volunteerism in Nevada.
Based on your prior responses, we have developed a new survey specifically for volunteers so that we may learn about their backgrounds and their motivations for and barriers to volunteering. We are contacting you now to ask you to disseminate the survey to the volunteers in your organization. Your help with the next survey is critical to our goal of learning about the volunteerism in Nevada.
On the next page we ask up to six brief questions about your interest in disseminating a survey to the volunteers in your organization.
Your participation is completely voluntary. All information you provide will be kept strictly confidential and anonymous by our trained research team. Any research reports based on this project will only contain information about general patterns.
Submission of your response constitutes your consent to participate in the research as well as an authorization to allow UNLV researchers to conduct an online survey with the volunteers in your organization.
For more information about the survey and your rights, please contact the principal investigator Dr. Jennifer Keene, Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean of College of Liberal Arts at UNLV (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org, phone: 702-895-3401) or the UNLV Institutional Review Board (Email: email@example.com, phone: 702-895-2794).
